FULLDOME FILM AWARD CATEGORIES
The Best of Earth Awards Show recognizes outstanding achievements in fulldome immersive media across a range of categories. Our categories for nominations and submissions include:
Best Fulldome
Feature Film Award
For all fulldome feature-length films over 20 min. Shows must not have been released earlier than October 2021.
Best Fulldome
Art & Experiment Film
Award
Shows can be of any length, but most represent the best Fulldome Art & Experiment Films in the entire fulldome industry. Shows must not have been released earlier than October 2021.
Best Fulldome
Short Film Award
For all fulldome short-length films under 20 minutes maximum. Shows must not have been released earlier than October 2021.
Best Fulldome
Science & Education Film
Award
Shows can be of any length, but most represent the best Fulldome Science and Education Films in the entire fulldome industry. Shows must not have been released earlier than October 2021.
Best Fulldome
Student Film Award
For all fulldome films 5 minutes maximum. Shows must not have been released earlier than October 2021.
Special Jury
Selection Award
Shows can be of any length, but most represent the best Fulldome Films in the entire fulldome industry beyond the other standard categories. Shows must not have been released earlier than October 2021.
How To Have Your Film Considered
The Best of Earth awards do not accept open submissions. Instead, they rely on a nomination system based on qualification by previously screening at one of the partner festival events. Films that have screened in the following fulldome film festivals are qualified to be nominated by that festival for a Best of Earth award:
